The planets belong to nobody. The profit can be yours.
The Majors took what was worth taking and left. They left the plant standing, ore still in the seam, and nobody to say whose it is. Hire the people who go down, build the crew, and go and get it.

Hire. Plan. Take what is left.
Hire operators
People who know the trade and charge for it. Pick who goes down, and who works well beside them.
Plan the operation
Equipment, purchase order, and how far the crew will push. The doctrine is your signature in the field.
Take the resources
Every shift pays what you manage to scrape. The report shows where the profit came from, and where it got away.
You decide first. Then you watch.
Your crew goes down and works on its own: takes lanes, contests objectives, pulls back when you told it to pull back. No reflex saves a badly built crew, and no good crew is lost for want of quick hands.
Afterwards the report tells you what happened and why. That is how the next crew gets better.
The factions
Choose where your equipment comes from.
The factions manufacture, they hire, and they hate each other. You buy from all of them, and what you buy decides how your crew solves a problem: by mass, by heat, by precision, by chemistry or by silence.
